Otter Trail Winery

The project consists of a wine production facility, tasting lounge, bistro, and storage.  The lounge & bistro includes an outdoor patio that will supplement the space by providing a comfortable area for patrons to sample wine and local produce, as well as accommodating hosting special events.

 

The building will blend with the beautiful landscape and surrounding farmland with finishes of natural materials and tones. The main body of the building will be clad with wood slats and slate stone veneer. The northeast corner of the building will feature curtain wall glazing that builds a connection between the interior space and the patio. Taking advantage of the abundance of natural light and stunning vistas from the vineyard to the Golden Ears Mountains and beyond, an overhanging roof featuring an exposed timber soffit will provide solar shading during the summer months.

 

The building, parking & access will be softened with low plantings and has been designed to avoid the removal of any existing onsite trees.
